Ms. Alvear believes family law cases should be handled with compassion, discretion, and with a focus on peaceful resolution. She is a mediator and a collaborative attorney, and uses these skills to help families navigate difficult situations and try to find long-term solutions.
In litigating over one hundred landlord-tenant cases, Mr. Sadegh has the experience necessary to effectively represent both landlords and tenants in resolving their disputes. Mr. Sadegh has done numerous presentations and CLE trainings on landlord-tenant law, including classes for the People's Law School, the NAACP legal clinic, and the Poverty Law section of the State Bar of Texas. In addition, Mr. Sadegh has handled cases in a variety of other areas, including consumer law, personal injury, violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act, breach of contract, debt collection, and probate.

Elaine M. Alvear and David J. Sadegh met in 2003, when they both began attending the University of Houston Law Center. They graduated in May 2006, were married in October that same year, and were licensed as Texas attorneys a few weeks later.
In order to find the best solutions for their clients' problems, Ms. Alvear and Mr. Sadegh work together and consult with each other frequently at no additional cost to their clients. Both are dedicated to resolving their clients' legal issues in the most efficient and effective way possible.
